The holiday season is fast approaching. Time to reflect and share and all that traditional stuff, I guess. Here is a sample of what is current with Brigid. I wanted to use a simple rhyme to be consistent with the sensibilities of possible readers and listeners. The KISS principle, just two colors, if it is good enough for CNN who can argue? And of course eye don't want to confuse all the voters who cannot face the possibility of election vote fraud.

One hundred bulbs upon the tree
Symbols of our charity
Pick the color, red or blue
Find the one that speaks for you

While red the sign of enmity
A year end look at how we live

Bill Moyers the winner of this years
Harvard Medical's Global Environment Citizen award said in his acceptance speech
The Delusional Is No Longer Marginal same song different verses.

They are the people who believe the Bible is literally true—one-third of the American electorate, if a recent Gallup poll is accurate. In this past election, several million good and decent citizens went to the polls believing in the rapture index. That's right—the rapture index. Google it and you will find that the best-selling books in America today are the 12 volumes of the "Left Behind" series written by the Christian fundamentalist and religious right warrior, Timothy LaHaye. These true believers subscribe to a fantastical theology concocted in the 19th century by a couple of immigrant preachers who took disparate passages from the Bible and wove them into a narrative that has captivated the imagination of millions of Americans.
We are all responsible to varying degrees.
